When the TV Disappears Into the Wall

The Samsung Slim Mount
I've mounted a lot of TVs on a lot of different brackets, but Samsung's own Slim Mount is in a class of its own for Samsung TVs. Here's what makes it different:
It mounts differently than a standard bracket. The Slim Mount doesn't use a traditional hook-and-hang system. It attaches directly to the back of the TV and slides into a wall plate - the result is a TV that sits roughly half an inch from the wall. On a large OLED like the S95F, that looks incredible.
The dimensions matter. The Slim Mount bracket is about 15 inches wide by 2 inches tall - a tiny footprint for an 85-inch TV. Everything is engineered to disappear behind the screen.
Wires go inside the wall. The whole point of the Slim Mount is a clean look, which means the wiring has to match. I ran all the cables - power, HDMI, everything - through the wall. From the front, there's nothing. Not a single wire visible.

The Q990F Soundbar Setup
The Samsung Q990F is a serious audio system. It's not just a soundbar - it includes wireless rear speakers and a subwoofer, giving you true surround sound without running speaker wire through the walls. For a room like this, it was the right call.
Placement was straightforward here: the soundbar sits centered on the oak credenza directly below the TV, with the rear satellite speakers positioned symmetrically on either side. The subwoofer is off to the left. Everything wireless, everything clean.

The Result
Look at that side profile. The TV is essentially flat against the wall. For an 85-inch panel, that's remarkable. The symmetry of the windows flanking both sides, the clean oak credenza below, the soundbar centered - this room was designed well and the install needed to honor that.
Zero visible wires. Perfect level. The kind of setup that makes guests stop and ask how you did it.
The View From the Couch
